Royal Piccadilly Restaurant Project: One-storey restaurant fit-out Size: 96 sq.m. designed space Location: Quezon City, Philippines Date: January – February 2013 Contractor: awarded to best contractor and finishes subcontracted Three sisters with a talent for baking cakes and cupcakes and cooking delicious meals decided to put up their first restaurant. They were already known for their cakes and cupcakes under the Royal Piccadilly brand and expansion was needed to cater to more clients. The location at Katipunan Avenue was perfect for their market and after having taken masters at London they already knew what look they wanted. Although the restaurant was inspired by English bakeries in general and their favourite hang-out in London, Garrison Pub, they wanted a clean and chic look – not rough, not shabby, and not snobby – fun, elegant, and something different, just like every cake or cupcake they make. The furniture and all interior details were custom designed and fabricated by the architect to their liking.
